Agreement on Power Plant Strategy (Link in German only)

The Federal Government has also agreed on a Power Plant Strategy as part of an economic growth package. This clears the way for calls for bids for a total of 12.5 gigawatts (GW) of power-plant capacity and 500 megawatts (MW) of long-term storage installations. The Power Plant Strategy will now enter public consultations in the next phase. Find out more

22 IPCEI Hydrogen flagship projects started in Germany (Link in German only)

A total of 22 “ingenious and forward-thinking” Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) focused on hydrogen received their funding confirmation on 15 July. These include eleven electrolysers, 2000 kilometres of hydrogen pipelines and three storage facilities, which will be funded with €4.6 billion from federal and Land resources. Find out more
