The Federal Government has also agreed on a Power Plant Strategy as part of an economic growth package. This clears the way for calls for bids for a total of 12.5 gigawatts (GW) of power-plant capacity and 500 megawatts (MW) of long-term storage installations. A total of 22 “ingenious and forward-thinking” Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) focused on hydrogen received their funding confirmation on 15 July.
