North West of Germany’s North Sea island Borkum, the country’s largest offshore wind farm is now under construction. The NDR regional TV channel reports on this. Once in operation, it is to have a capacity of 960 megawatts.

tagesschau.de, 21 May 2024: ‘Construction of German-British electricity link begins’

Germany’s public news report ‘Tagesschau’ covers the beginning of construction work on the first German-British electricity link. It is to connect Wilhemshaven to Kent and supply some 1.5 million households with electricity as of 2028.
